PLUS loans are typically disbursed in two installments during the academic year. Repayment begins within 60 days of the second disbursement.

Pay Later
You can choose to delay repayment while your child is in school at least half-time by applying for forbearance for a period of 12 months. This forbearance can be renewed annually to delay repayment for a period of up to four years while your child is in school.4
